Hyderabad, December 13: The Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned Rs 430.98 crore to various departments as relief to cyclone-hit people in the state.
The amount from the State Disaster Response Fund will cover the losses incurred between October 29 and November 30, an official release said here tonight.
Fifteen persons died in separate incidents related to natural calamities in the state. Nellore district accounted for eight deaths followed by East Godavari (four), Chittoor, Prakasam and Guntur (one each). Three persons were reported missing.
Heavy rains caused by the cyclonic storm left a trail of destruction in the south coastal districts.
