AP Police bracing up for law and order issues after Dec 31

Karimnagar, December 24: Andhra Pradesh police is bracing itself to face any law and order situation that may arise after the Srikrishna Committee submits its report on the Telangana issue on December 31.

Addressing a function at Vemulawada temple town, nearly 35 km from here today, Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao said tough time was ahead for police department as the committee submits its report on the demand for separate state.

He said the police will not “suppress” any movement and sought co-operation from the people.

Later, the DGP had a meeting with IG Grayhounds Anurag Sharma, IG Warangal RP Takoor, Warangal range DIG Jitender, Karimnagar SP N Shivashankar Reddy, in view of the situation in the region after December 31.
