AP plans to make GRS people-friendly

The Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to make the Grievance Redressal System (GRS) into a people-friendly transparent tool to resolve the grievances of the people.
Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao, who reviewed the status of the GRS system at the Secretariat on Thursday said it was linked to 12 departments and it will be integrated with the CMO, offices of the Secretaries, HODs and District Collectorates on a unified platform. The objective is to ensure that all levels of administration are kept informed of the reddressal process and action taken thereof.
The unique features of the new GRS system are that it is different from the existing grievance redressal system in terms of a provision for tracking each individual grievance till its final redressal in terms of the action taken. The GRS also provides for an independent audit of some of the decisions taken at random to strengthen the quality of the grievance redressal of the individual. The new Grievance Redress System (GRS) is web based and ready for launching, he added. (NSS)
