Taking suo motu cognisance of a newspaper report about a pregnant woman delivering on the road here, the Andhra Pradesh Lokayukta today called for a report from the Director of State for Medical Education. Upa-Lokayukta M V S Krishnaji Rao sought for a report in the matter, after a report in a Telugu daily alleged that a pregnant woman was “pushed out” of a maternity hospital at Sultan Bazar and had to deliver on the road, according to a release issued today.
