Hyderabad, December 05: (Siasat News) Govt. has named A.P. Law University as A.P. National University of Law in order to get National status on a part with other law universities in the country. A.P. State Assembly passed an Amendment Act 2008, which was presented by Law Minister Pratap Reddy. The committee constituted by NALSAR suggested that instead of opening the branches of NALSAR in Vishakapatnam, Nizamabad and Kadapah, it is better to establish a National Law University on the lines of NALSAR.
In order to fulfill the needs of the students of this state, A.P. University of Law Act 2008 was enacted and the other campuses were established. However, the executive council of the University which met in July last year, had passed a resolution to form a National Law University.
