AP is an attractive destination for investments: Krishna Rao

Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, while reviewing the status on allotment of lands for Industries, told that the Andhra Pradesh is an attractive destination for investments and the Government has taken many initiatives for development of Industrial Infrastructure for the consistent growth.

The Chief Secretary held a meeting on Saturday with the Officers of CCLA, Industries, APIIC and Water Resources Department to review on allotment of lands for Industries and supply of water. Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation should offer ready facilities for Industrial areas to reduce the lead time setting up of manufacturing units with enough resources in the allotment policy. The APIIC playing a key role in rapid industrial development in the State. APIIC secures the land either by acquiring private lands or alienation of Government lands or assigned land by keeping 10 lakh acres in possession under the control of APIIC the officials informed.

Krishna Rao has directed the Revenue Officials to handover the available government lands with free of cost to APIIC. As per the guidelines and Industrial Policy of the Government it is mandatory to obtain Detailed Project Report (DPR) from the applicants, by the APIIC.

Supply of Water to Industrial areas located at Orvakallu, Donakonda, Gorantla, Hindupur and Visakhapatnam were reviewed by the Chief Secretary. He has issued instructions to look forward for a solution for supply of Water to Orvakallu Industrial Area and after the crop season over or before the crop season run Water Resources Department may run the Canal in all these areas to fill the reservoirs. A Technical Feasibility Report (TFR) may be prepared for supply of water to Donakonda Industrial Area, Chief Secretary said.
