Andhra Pradesh Home Minister and district in-charge Minister Sabita Indra Reddy today visited a relief camp for the flood-affected families at the Treasury Colony in Kakinada city. She assured the victims that permanent housing would be provided to them in the Rajiv Gruha Kalpa building complexes. District Collector Neethu Kumary, who accompanied the Minister, said a total of 150 families residing along the irrigation canal bund off Kakinada-Samalkot road were affected by floods. Local MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy appealed to the Minister to get the weeds clogging the canal cleared, as it had obstructed the water flow leading to inundation of houses. PTI
