The Andhra Pradesh High Court has withdrawn notices issued to the TDP President Nara Chandrababu Naidu and other ministers in the liquor syndicate scam issue following the raids by the ACB on liquor trade. The High Court order came in the back drop of a furore in administrative and political circles for involvement of ministers and Opposition leader without submitting any evidence. It was stated that nearly Rs 15,000 crore had been swindled due to nexus of the excise, police, liquor trade and politicians in the state since 2010 after Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy took over reins of the state. The Kiran Kumar Reddy government was rocked by the liquor scam as the raids revealed the direct involvement of the Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkatararamana and also the Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana.
