AP to have corruption-free administration from Nov: CM

Visakhapatnam, September 26: The Andhra Pradesh government will provide a corruption-free administration by introducing a new scheme from November, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said today.

Addressing a meeting of Uttarandra Congress Garjana at the Ramakrishna Beach here this evening in connection with merger celebration of Telugu superstar K Chiranjeevis Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) with the ruling Congress, he said the scheme to be introduced with an aim of eradicating corruption would simplify the administrative procedure. Initially, 25 certificates such as income and caste would be issued through special counters to be established across the state by a single challan. As a pilot project, the scheme would be implemented in the districts of Khammam, Krishna and Chittoor and another 60 certificates would also be issued through the counters after introducing the scheme across the state in the next six months for benefit of the people in the state, the Chief Minister said.

As per the assurance given by the Congress party, Mr Reddy said the government would distribute one lakh appointment orders to the unemployed youth through Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in December next under Rajiv Yuvakiranalu scheme. Under the scheme, the government would provide 15 lakh jobs to the youth in private sector within three years, he assured and added the government was also planning to start a Milk Mission with an estimated cost of Rs 6,000 crore through Indirakranthi Pathakam for the benefit of women groups. While highlighting the government s welfare schemes, the Chief Minister clarified that his government had not withdrawn any people s welfare scheme launched during the YSR tenure approved by the Congress high command. Countering the YSR Congress party leaders allegations against the government, Mr Reddy said I am prepared to bow my head if anyone proved that any schemes introduced during the YSR period were withdrawn by the present government . The government would also introduce more schemes for the benefit of farmers and women in the state shortly, he said. The government would provide rice at Rs one per kg scheme from November 1, Mr Reddy disclosed. He said he would consider the merger a real one when the Congress gets 64 per cent votes in the next general elections at Visakhapatnam, where the PRP secured 31 per cent and Congress 33 per cent in 2009 elections.
