AP has over 5900000 bogus votes, Jagan complains to Governor, EC

Hyderabad: YSRCP president and Leader of the Opposition in AP Assembly YS Jaganmohan Reddy today apprised Governor ESL Narasimhan of gross malpractices in electoral rolls in the State. He informed the Governor that there were over 59,00,000 bogus votes in the State. He also said these facts had been brought to the notice of the Central Election Commission.

Speaking to mediapersons later, Jagan said he informed the Governor about fake surveys were being conducted by the TDP government in the name of real-time governance, Parishkara Vedika and other organizations. Jagan informed the Governor that it is the Chandrababu government that was conducting fake surveys using such organizations, identifying YSRCP workers and getting their names deleted. He also apprised the Governor about the misuse of Police department to influence the conduct of elections.

When asked about Chandrababu Naidu’s Delhi protest or Deeksha, Jagan described it as a mockery. He compared it to a murderer protesting for justice to the victim. The YSRCP chief said Chandrababu was alone responsible for AP not getting Special Category Status. It was Naidu, who questioned in the Assembly as to what had the States which got Special Category Status (SCS) achieved. He also told the media that it was Chandrababu Naidu, who said that SCS was no Sanjeevini. It was the AP CM who settled for a Special Package and commended Arun Jaitley, along with his other TDP MPs and cabinet colleagues. It was the TDP led by its supreme, which was all praise for BJP government.

“In the last four years, which Chandrababu spent as an ally of the BJP, never spoke about Special Category Status. But now, the TDP chief does a complete U-turn and wears a black shirt criticizing the Centre for injustice to AP, which is like the devil quoting scriptures”, the YSRCP chief said.

Those who were present were MP Vijaya Sai Reddy, former minister Dharmana Prasad Rao, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and others.
