AP quota is likely to be slashed heavily for Hajj 2014. Central Hajj Committee sources told that out of total outlay of 94000, quota is allotted to all states. Andhra Pradesh has been provisionally allotted a quota of 5380 aspirants. Compared to the last year the quota is slashed by over 1000 aspirants.
State Hajj Committee has received 18080 applications for Hajj 2014 of which 16608 are fresh applications. Central Hajj Committee sources told that drawing of lots for Andhra Pradesh Hajj aspirants is scheduled on April 17. After drawing of lots is held all over the country further quota upto 300 is likely to be allotted to Andhra Pradesh.
