AP govt urged to honor Satya Nadella suitably

The State government was urged to honor in a fitting manner Satya Nadella, the Indian born American from Hyderabad, for making the country, especially Andhra Pradesh, proud after being nominated as the new CEO of the US-based technology giant Microsoft.

The appeal was made by V.B. Bajaj, Managing Director of Saroj Exports (Pvt) Ltd, father of Satya Nadella’s batch-mate from Hyderabad Public School, Parag Bajaj, acting Director of Ford Motor Company, Detriot (USA).

In a statement, VB Bajaj, while hailing and congratulating Satya Nadella for his achievement, felt that it would be in fitness of things to suitably honor him at the earliest, if need be in the United States itself by advising the Indian Ambassador in the US to organize a felicitation function.

Pointing out that a number of Indians were occupying prestigious and important posts abroad, including in the USA in President Barak Obama’s government, Bajaj observed that many NRIs were ready and eager to return back to and participate in the development of the country by setting up industries in various sectors. As a matter of fact, many NRIs had earlier set up industries in the country but were forced to wind up and go back due to lack of encouragement, he observed.

Thus he made a fervent appeal to both the Central and State governments to take all the required measures to provide the needed infrastructural facilities and other assistance to encourage those NRIs willing to return back to India and set up industries and other business ventures and other participate in the country’s development and growth.
