The Andhra Pradesh Government on Thursday renewed the services of contract faculty working in government junior colleges in the State till the end of academic year 2014-15.
The State Government had earlier permitted the Commissioner of Intermediate Education to renew the contract faculty from June 4 to December 31, 2014. However, the Commissioner has sought extension of contract till the end of academic year stating that the students would suffer due to lack of faculty. From the month of January, 2015 revision of the syllabus will be taken up for the benefit of the students and the continuation of Contract Faculty is dire needed for this practice, the Commissioner told the government.
Accepting the request, the government extended the renewal of Contract Faculty up to last date of academic year 2014-2015. (INN)
