AP Govt on Modi’s footsteps

Hyderabad, May 28: There is only one difference in BJP and Congress. There is no contradiction in sayings and doings of BJP. As far as Congress in concerned, it makes promises but in action in resorts to narrow mindedness and animosity.

There is no difference in the Government of Andhra Pradesh and that of Gujarat as far as the policy for the Muslims is concerned. Modi Government returned the amounts sanctioned by the government of India for awarding scholarships to Minority Students.

Government of Andhra Pradesh delayed in releasing the funds for scholarships so that Muslims institutions suffer from financial difficulties and vanish. Recently, a new tactics has been adopted. The share earmarked for the Minorities has been abandoned. Every time, there used to be entries showing the details of the loans granted to Muslim students but in the credit plan submitted to the state level credit review committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

According to the RBI guidelines, the credit share of the Minorities works out to Rs. 15,677.25 Crore. Out of the total outlay of Rs.1,03,915 Crore, the banks had to provide Rs.9864.45 Crore to Minorities but hardly the banks could complete 5% of the allotted share. In the credit plan, district wise allocation is normally projected but it is removed.

Siasat has been exposing the irregularities in sanctioning loans to Minorities for quite sometime. It also informed that some banks did not grant any loans. There is no mention of data about the loans sanctioned to Minorities. It clearly shows that the banks have totally neglected the guidelines issued by the RBI and the Prime Minister’s 15 point programme. The document presented depicts only the loans sanctioned by Minorities and Christian Financial Corporations. If district wise details are not furnished, it is not possible to identify the banks who are avoiding to sanction loans.

It is obvious that the Government of Andhra Pradesh is also following the footsteps of the Modi Government.
