AP Government gives details of land allotment since 2004

Hyderabad, March 23: The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has allotted 47,337 acres of land for 7,399 industrial units, including Special Economic Zones, between 2004-05 and 2010-11 (up to December).

This was stated by Major Industries Minister J Geeta Reddy in reply to a question raised by Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu (TDP) and others in the Assembly today.

In all, the APIIC acquired 82,792.87 acres of land, including 21,234.99 acres of patta (private) land and 61,557.88 acres owned by government, the Minister said.

Allotment of plots/land up to five acres in Industrial Parks was done by a committee at the zonal level while in case of large projects the APIIC higher authorities made the allotments, she said.

“The allotment is also being made as per the orders of the Government and memorandums of understanding between the government and the companies.
