Visakhapatnam, November 26: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah said recession had not hit the software business units in the state which registered a phenomenal growth of more than 50 per cent last year in Information Technology Industry.
He said this after inaugurating the Symbiosys Technologies in the Off Shore Development Centre at Rushikonda in the city here yesterday.
The Andhra Pradesh Software Exports stood in the fourth place in the country, Mr Rosaiah added.
The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh had become the most favoured destination of world IT Industries and that the state should compete with other states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat in the IT sector.
