“We have sought their cooperation and support to conduct the polls in a free and fair manner,” the CEO told reporters.
The expenses incurred by the candidates would be monitored closely and steps would also be taken to check the flow of money to lure the voters, he said.
Against the backdrop of inflammatory statements allegedly made by some Telangana leaders, the CEO has already asserted that violation of law would not be tolerated.
He has handed over the final list of electoral rolls in the 10 assembly seats in Telangana region, where the by-polls are scheduled to be held on July 27, to Congress, TDP and other major parties.
The by-polls to the 10 seats are necessitated as the sitting MLAs had quit their posts in support of demand for separate Telangana.
