Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao chaired a meeting with all the Secretaries on Saturday to discuss on the issues related to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s assurances in the Floor of House, unprecedented rains and floods, release of funds by Government of India etc.,.
Reviewing on the unprecedented rains and floods affected in Nellore, Kadapa and Chittoor Districts, Chief Secretary informed that Rs. 4 Crore worth of commodities were distributed till date and also said Central Team also constituted and will visit flood and draught affected areas soon. A preliminary meeting would be held on 11th of this month at Vijayawada with the Central team and the Secretaries of concerned Departments are requested to attend the meeting.
The Chief Secretary said that Government of Andhra Pradesh created a portal Meekosam which is a forum for redressal of Public Grievances. Any grievance or request can be escalated from the field level to CM to ensure for implementation of social security schemes effectively in the State. Action taken reports should be uploaded on Meekosam Portal on the grievances received during earlier Janmabhoomi programme. Officers concerned informed that 82% of the grievances are redressed as on date. Next phase of Janmabhoomi will be commenced on 01.01.2016, Chief Secretary informed.
On priority all Departments must prepare notes on assurances made by the Chief Minister on the Floor of the House while declaring new capital in Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister made assurances to develop all the Districts by establishing Industries, Universities, Smart and Mega cities. Also reports are to be prepared on positive issues specifically ongoing regular schemes of the Government and negative issues raised by the opposition.
In view of the ensuing Assembly session, the Chief Secretary reviewed with the Secretaries the preparedness of LAQs / LCQs of the past session and also being prepared to face the ensuing session of the Assembly in anticipation important issues that may come up for discussion in the Assembly.
The Chief Secretary evinced keen interest on the funds released by Government of India to receive more and more funds towards Central Sector Plan Schemes and long term benefit schemes assured by the Government of India.
Krishna Rao directed all the Secretaries to prepare a detailed note on the issues related to their Departments to answer properly in the 26th Meeting of the Southern Zonal Council going to be held on 12th December at Vijayawada. The meeting would be convened by Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, to review on the State issues of Southern Zone.
Issues related to Double Digit Growth (DDG) and Key Performance Indicator to be discussed in the commence Collectors Conference are also reviewed. (INN)
