Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao on Thursday conducted a meeting with the officials at the Secretariat on the progress of Metro Rail Projects of Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.
During the meeting, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Officials said that the Special Purpose Vehicle for both the Metro Projects have been formed and Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for Visakhapatnam covering a length of 39 KMs and for Vijayawada (25 KMs) are under preparation.
The Chief Secretary has requested the DMRC to complete the DPR by the end of March and directed Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department A Giridhar to approach the Government of India to get the funds as per the commitment in the A.P. Reorganization Act.
Krishna Rao has also conducted a meeting with the Tourism Officials to discuss on the Shilparamam and Tourism issues.
Retd. Spl. C.S. Chandana Khan, DMRC Manager V. Armstrong and Project Director G.P. Ranga Rao have attended the meetings. (INN)
