Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao conducted a meeting with the Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of concerned Departments on Cement Industries in Kurnool District, Hero Motors, Coastal Corridors, Sri Chakra Cements, Railways and other issues at the State Secretariat here on Monday evening.
The Chief Secretary has reviewed on the Mining Licenses issued a decade back to the Ramco Cements, Ultra Tech Cements and Prism Cements. Kolimigundla there is potential for 30 M.Tonnes capacity Cement plants to come up. So far 10 MTs mining licenses are issued to Prism/Ultra Tech/Ramco Cement Companies. For things to come there, the main considerations of Water and Railway line, these infrastructural issues were discussed with the concerned. It was decided to explore the possibilities of laying pipeline and constructing a reservoir for supply of Water to the companies to be setup through Owk Reservoir. The Reservoir here filled up with drawl during flood season.
The Chief Secretary issued instructions to the officials Irrigation Department to do the detailed study in one month and come up with project Report and Financial implications. The Chief Secretary also reviewed on Railway Line between Sanjamala and Kolimiguntla in Kurnool district.
Through a video conference, the Chief Secretary reviewed with the Dist. Collectors of Chittoor and Ananthapuram on the issues, allotment of land for M/s Bharat Electronics Limited, National Academy Customs and Central Excise and AIR BUS. The Chief Secretary instructed the Collector Ananthapuram to handover advance possession of land already in his possession to the above industries.
The Industrial Corridors between Vizag – Chennai And Chennai – Bangalore was also reviewed and the details of projects was taken up as part of that including the Donakonda cluster and the route linkages and Industrial Estates with need to be posed to the ADB was discussed.
