AP CS calls on President of India at Rashtrapati Nilayam

Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao met President of India Pranab Mukharjee at Rashtrapathi Nilayam in Bollarum here on Monday as a courtesy call.

The Chief Secretary invited the President of India to come to Anantapur on December 29 to celebrate the State Government’s Programme Neeru-Pragathi in terms of water conservation, conjunctive use of surface and ground water, drought proofing in a systematic manner all through the State. The President has agreed to consider the request and inform the State Government on the same.

The President was informed that the Andhra Pradesh State Government has decided to move its staff to the new capital city at Vijayawada by 1st June, 2016 and the President commended the same and informed it is a right development. (INN)
