The Andhra Pradesh Government has reiterated its request to the Centre to resolve all pending issues following the bifurcation of the State.
AP Chief Secretary I.Y.R.Krishna Rao, who met Union Home Secretary L.C.Goyal, here on Wednesday along with DGP J.V.Ramudu, said that there were some pending issues which needed the Centre’s intervention. Talking to the media after the meeting, he said that he requested the Home Department to address the same at the earliest. He said the Home Secretary, assured him of action in this regard and said that an early solution would be found to the same.
The Union Home Secretary preferred the meeting as AP was inadvertently left out during the last meeting in which Telangana and Chattisgarh were invited to discuss the issue of extremism. AP too has some problem areas in Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and Khammam districts and the issue came up for discussion. (INN)
