AP congress list in first week: Anam

Former minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy today said a list of party candidates will be announced in the first week of April. He said the APCC was eliciting opinion from DCCs from 13 districts to finalise the names of candidates for general elections. “We will sum up their reports on March 31 and in turn submit a report to the party high command on April 1”, he added.
Interacting with mediapersons at Indira Bhavan, after holding a DCCs’ meeting along with APCC Chief N Raghuveera Reddy, Campaign Committee Chief K Chiranjeevi and others, Anam said he expressed willingness to have an alliance with like-minded parties. The DCC presidents from the 13 districts have expressed their views and opinions on selection of candidates and will submit their reports by the month end, Reddy said.
“Right now, we have asked the DCCs to come up with names of suitable leaders, who are honest to serve the masses at their best. They can suggest one or two names for MLA or MP seats from their respective constituencies”, Anam said, adding that they would abide by the decision of the party high command on electoral alliances. On the seven-day campaign that ended in Kurnool, he said Raghuveera Reddy and Chiranjeevi toured the districts extensively and got good response. (NSS)
