Hyderabad, March 30: Congress in Andhra Pradesh today rejected the allegations of the Jagan group that it had a tacit understanding with Opposition TDP over constitution of a House Committee to look into allegations of irregularities in land allocations for industries in the state.
“Even when Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was alive, there were instances of House Committees being set up. It is not correct to say that we had an understanding with TDP,” Congress chief whip M Bhatti Vikramarka told reporters.
State Congress President D Srinivas said the Government has agreed to constitute a House Committee to ensure transparency and ascertain the truth in land allotments.
He refuted the charge that the House Committee is an attempt to “target” the family of late YSR. The panel would also look into issues concerning TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
