Congress MP K.V.P. Ramchandra Rao has accused the Central Government of ignoring the concerns of people of Andhra Pradesh.
“It is very depressing to note that the address of President of India in the Joint Session of Parliament today has no reference whatsoever on the implementation of A.P.Reorganization Act, 2014 and the assurances given by the then Prime Minister of India in the Rajya Sabha. The Andhra Pradesh Congress Party and people of Andhra Pradesh are with a fond hope that the Government of India will include the Status of Implementation of the Act in the Presidential Address to prove its determination to fulfill the promises made to Andhra Pradesh including Special Category Status,” KVP said.
The Congress MP alleged that the government has failed to prove its commitment and ignored concerns of people of Andhra Pradesh regarding the development of the state consequent to bifurcation. (INN)
