AP CM sanctions Rs 2.5 Cr for mosques

With the holy month of Ramadan beginning from June 19th, the Andhra Pradesh government has allotted Rs 2.5 crore for the renovation and upgradation of existing mosques, run by the government and the Wakf Board. This amount will also be utilized to provide adequate arrangements for people who perform special prayers.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has extended Ramadan greetings to the Muslim community. He wished that the Muslim community continues to be happy, healthy and prosperous and also vowed to take care of the welfare of the minorities in the state.

Ramadan, he said, is a month that can transform our lives, renewing and reinventing ourselves showering kindness and compassion to others. “I wish you embody the spirit of this season and also be part of the development of the new State of Andhra Pradesh,” the Chief Minister said.

Cabinet sub-committee for protection of Christian assets

A cabinet sub-committee has been appointed for the protection of Christian assets. The committee constitutes ministers Palle Raghunatha Reddy, Ravela Kishore Babu and C.H. AyyannaPatrudu as members. (INN)
