AP CM to launch optical fibre network programme on Aug 15

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is likely to launch the State Government’s prestigious optical fibre network connectivity programme at Mori village In East Godavari district on August 15. People will get TV, internet and phone facility at a cost of Rs 149 per month under the programme.

Giving details of the project at HoDs meeting in Vijayawada, the chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that of the total 23,500 km optical fibre lines, 21,300 km lines were completed. He said the internet facility would be provided to all government schools and colleges on priority basis.

The Chief Minister said according to a recent survey, 87.14 %people expressed confidence on the functioning of the government and 76% of them demanded the shifting of secretariat to Amaravati.

NTR Vaidya Seva is in the top position in the welfare programmes with the mandate of 81% people. Regarding farmers loan waiver scheme, 63.87% expressed satisfaction. Coming to e-Pos 44.77 % expressed satisfaction. 74% people expressed concern over finger prints system. Chandranna Bheema scheme won the confidence of 73% people. On govt’s sand policy 80.5% expressed happiness.

Regarding corruption, 45% people opined that there was increase in corruption in Revenue department, 13.7 % in police department and 7.5% alleged rise in corruption in medical and health department.

The Chief Minister directed the HoDs to link up all the departments with the CM dash board. He questioned the endowments officials for the reasons for not linking the department with CM dash board to monitor the functioning of departments regularly. (INN)
