Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today thanked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Commerce Minister Anand Sharma for permitting the export of cotton. The Centre’s decision will help the cotton farmers get remunerative price for their produce, an official release here said. It may be recalled that the Chief Minister through a letter addressed to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Chairperson of Group of Ministers and the Finance Minister and the Commerce Minister has requested to permit export additional 20 lakh bales of cotton and also requested to extend the exports date till May 31.
