Chittoor, February 22: Chittoor Congress MLA CK Jayachandra Reddy alias CK Babu, who shifted his loyalty to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, today levelled serious allegation against chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy that the latter was friendly with those who were trying to eliminate him.
Babu, who was close to the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, has been keeping a low profile after the latter’s death but a couple of days ago he crossed the Rubicon and jumped on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bandwagon.
Babu, after meeting Kiran Kumar Reddy in his chambers on the Assembly lobbies here today, advised mediapersons to ask the chief minister himself why he (Babu) was keeping a distance from him.
“I was a supporter of Kiran Kumar Reddy’s father for 25 long years. In fact, I wanted to support Kiran Kumar Reddy. But he is now helping those who are funding some people intent on eliminating me,” he said and asserted that he was not bothered even if the chief minister took offense to his allegations.
