Telugu Desam party MP JC Diwakar Reddy today said AP State capital would not be located in Anantapur district.
Speaking to mediapersons, Diwakar Reddy said expeditious development of Andhra Pradesh would be possible alone with the blessings of Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu. Diwakar said several industrial units would be set up in Anantapur district with the cooperation of the Union government. Reddy also said the Centre has released Rs 11 crores to the district for urban development.
In Hyderabad, Guntur MP Galla Jayadev said no decision was taken yet where to set up the Andhra Pradesh capital so far. He also said budget was also not finalized for construction of AP capital. Galla Jayadev was speaking to mediapersons after the meeting held in Secretariat on the question of locating the capital city.
