After a four-hour marathon meeting on Wednesday, Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, today decided to waive 20 per cent crop loan, 5.9 per cent of DA to employees and Fees reimbursement to AP students in Telangana.
The Chief Minister has taken a decision to release Rs 11,000 crore — 20 per cent of total Rs 45,000 crore towards crop loan waiver. The Cabinet also decided to take up Janmabhoomi–Mana Vooru” program in 13 districts from October 2 and appealed to farmers and people to understand the financial condition and the plans of new schemes and funds needed to build up the capital and attract industries, businesses and IT companies for continuous development of the State in the wake of bifurcation.
Besides setting up Farmers Empowerment Corporation to transfer funds to the banks, the Cabinet also decided to set up a Sanitary Corporation for clean and green program. The Cabinet also decided to urge the Centre to confer “Bharat Ratna” to former Chief Minister late N T Rama Rao, constitute a Memorial Trust in the name of former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao at Delhi and extend greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his successful five-day mission to America.
Chandrababu also found fault with the TRS Government for its proposal to remove the statues from Tank Bund attributing the regional color. It is not proper to make such proposal. he said. He has decided to make an appeal to the TRS Government against the removal of statues who are known for flourishing the culture and tradition of our Telugu Culture, Naidu felt. (NSS)
