AP Budget session starts tomorrow; clamour expected

Hyderabad, February 14: The Budget session of Andhra Pradesh Legislature begins here tomorrow amid a fresh turmoil over the Telangana issue.

The 45-day session, of which the working days will be 31, will begin with an address by state Governor E S L Narasimhan to a joint sitting of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly.

While the Assembly will sit for its regular business from Tuesday, the Council is likely to be adjourned for a day on February 16 due to the death of its sitting member M Lakshmidevamma.

Chief Minister K Rosaiah, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the Budget for 2010-11 on February 20.

The winter session of the state Legislature was abruptly adjourned sine die following the imbroglio over the separate Telangana state demand with members belonging to both regions submitting their resignations.
