Andhra Pradesh IT and Information Minister Palle Raghunath Reddy today said his government has decided to make Andhra Pradesh as a drought-free State within five years with effective implementation of agricultural policy.
Giving details of Cabinet meeting held under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Raghunath Reddy said incentives to IT companies were announced.
He clarified that incentives would be given to those IT companies which provide 5000 or more jobs to the people. Special incentives would be provided to SC and ST women, who wanted to set up IT companies in the State.
He said the government would give 25 per cent concession in electricity charges to them. From October 24, uninterrupted power supply would be ensured to domestic and industrial sectors, he added.
The minister also said women would be given sand quarry contracts where CCTV cameras would be set up to prevent any illegal sand transport. He also said transfers would be effected from MRO to Secretary level shortly.
