A case under SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was lodged against Prof Kodandaram, chairman of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (T-JAC), in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh today over his remarks against state minister for major industries Dr J Geeta Reddy. Zaheerabad town police registered the case. Inspector P Sridhar Reddy said that Purushottam Rao, president, Rashtriya Dalit Sena and others lodged the complaint today, alleging that Kodandram had made a derogatory remark against Reddy, a Dalit, in his speech at Zaheerabad last week. Kodandram had apologised for his remarks later. PTI
