At a meeting held on the eve of the Monsoon Session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, the Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao suggested to the Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao to set up a special Cell to look after the issues that would come up for discussion in the session.
Council Chairman Dr Chakrapani said that the government will give fitting answer to the members only when the government appoints coordinators in every department.
Participating in the meeting, the Chief Secretary has said that the government has appointed section officers in every department to coordinate between the Secretariat and Assembly. He said that the government will invite the Assembly secretary to the review meetings to be held every month in Secretariat. “By this arrangement, one should know the pending information and the department concerned”, he said.
Senior IAS officer Rawath opined that the questions posed by the members to be in digital format through online and send them directly to the secretaries concerned departments instead of general format, and digital format will help to reduce the delay.
Responding to some secretaries that the passes issued by the Assembly were not adequate, the Speaker said that they will issue daily wise passes to the officials adequately.(NSS)
