AP Assembly session may be held in Nagarjuna University

After holding a cabinet meeting outside the joint capital Hyderabad, the Andhra Pradesh Government is now preparing to conduct Assembly session at Nagarjuna University in Guntur.

The six-day Assembly session is likely to be held in the second or third week of December. According to sources, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to prepare the university to host Assembly session. Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao is also likely to visit the university on Monday to review the arrangements.

It may be mentioned that old Assembly building has been allocated to Andhra Pradesh. Although the AP Government can use the facilities in Hyderabad, the joint capital, for 10 years, the Chief Minister is reportedly keen on shifting major activities to the areas around the Vijayawada-Guntur where new capital is being constructed.
