AP assembly passes six bills including water regulation

Hyderabad, August 26: Andhra Pradesh Assembly tonight passed six bills including the establishing a Water Resources Regulatory Commission and amending land reforms Act.

The Bill to provide for the establishment of Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Regulatory Commission for regulation of water resources within the state aims to facilitate effective utilisation of water resources to ensure its sustainable and scientific management for drinking agriculture industrial and other purposes.

The Bill to amend the Andhra Pradesh land reforms (Ciling on agricultural holdings) Act 1973 aims that enabling available lands under the ciling process to be utilised or sold for infrastructure and industrial development.
