AP: 57 in fray for Kadapa bypolls

Kadapa, April 20: On the last day of nomination for Kadapa byelections, here on Monday, as many as 36 nominations were filed including that of TDP candidate MV Mysoora Reddy. In all, 57 candidates have filed their nominations for the elections since the nominations commenced on March 11. From Congress party, DL Ravindra Reddy filed his nomination. YS Jaganmohan Reddy from YSR Congress, MV Mysoora Reddy from TDP. BSP candidate K Suresh Babu, All India Forward Bloc candidate J Muni Reddy, Indian Minority Political Party candidate Illiyas, Samatha party candidate C Anki Reddy, Samajika Rayalaseema Praja Samithi candidate Ch Sudhakar Reddy and Muslim Minority Reservation Porata Samithi candidate S Mohammed Shafi have filed nominations.

Mehaboob Basha, who claimed YSR Congress party to be his own, has also filed his nomination. The remaining candidates have given in names as independent candidates. For the Pulivendula Assembly seat, 27 nominations were filed on Monday, the last day for filing nominations. In all, 36 candidates filed their nominations for the seat. YS Vivekananda Reddy represents the Congress, YS Vijayalaksmi (Vijayamma) the YSR Congress and M Ravindranath Reddy (BTech Ravi) the Telugu Desam. All others are independent candidates.
