Anusha refuses plastic surgery

Rajhmundary, October 01: N Anusha (17), who suffered knife injuries on her neck in an attack by a stalker Mattadi Rajesh, refused plastic surgery and prefers to keep the scar in memory of her parents who sacrificed their lives for saving her life.

It may be noted that the Rajesh, who nurtured a grudge against Anusha for spurning his love, attacked her at her residence and stabbed her on her neck and knee on September 17. He stabbed her father Srinu and mother Satyavathi, when they came to her rescue.

While her mother died on the spot , Srinu died while being shifted to the hospital. Anusha was discharged from the government hospital recently.

Speaking to Express here today, Anusha who is presently staying in her aunt’s house here, said that she wants to join government service after completing Intermediate final year examinations and wants to take care of her sisters– Prasanna studying Tenth Class and Nandini studying Fifth Class.

Though hailing from a poor middle class family, her father wanted to give them good education, she said and added that her father paid the Intermediate fees three days before the tragic incident and asked her to join computer and spoken English classes.

With tears rolling down from her eyes, the young girl said that she decided to be brave and look after her sisters.

Minister for Women and Child Welfare Konda Surekha called on Anusha here today and consoled her. The minister assured necessary help from the government.

KAKINADA: Meanwhile, East Godavari District Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi said that a house has been allotted to Anusha and a trust would be formed for their welfare. Stating that Anusha’s second sister will be admitted to a corporate residential school, he directed BC Welfare officer Annapurna to make the necessary arrangements.
