Anupam Kher: You have to try and take risks in your life

Mumbai, August 09: For his newly floated production house ‘Karol Bagh Film and Entertainment’, Anupam Kher could have opted for a conventional subject and an established star cast. Still, along with Satish Kaushik as the co-producer, he chose to make TEREE SANG that revolves around the subject of teen pregnancy and roped in newcomers like Ruslaan Mumtaz and Sheena Shahabadi. Kher says that he purposely went against the tide as he didn’t wish to play safe.

”All through my career I have broken quite a few myths”, Anupam Kher reflects his journey that began with SAARANSH (1984), ”I played a man way past his prime in my very first major film when in reality I was still in my 20s. A few years down the line I played a gay character called Pinkoo in MAST KALANDAR (1991) when even the word ‘gay’ was not known as it is today.”
