Chennai, February 12: The Madras High Court today granted anticipatory bail to comedian Singamuthu, who apprehended arrest in two cases filed against him.
Granting the bail, Justice K N Basha directed Singamuthu to furnish a personal bond of Rs 25,000 with a surety for a like amount for each case.
He was also told to furnish immovable property documents valued at Rs 75 lakh as security.
Ordering the actor to appear daily before police for four weeks, the Judge directed him to inform police about any plans to leave the city or country.
Comedian Vadivelu had charged Singamuthu of cheating him of immovable property worth some crores of rupees and intimidating and threatening his staff.
