Anti-Urdu attitude in the city of Urdu

Golconda Fort is in the headlines since the chief minister Chandrashekhar Rao announced to celebrate Independence Day at Golconda. Anti Urdu attitude of communal and prejudiced forces has not even spared Golconda Fort a memorial of Qutub Shahi Dynasty. The tablets on which the history of Golconda Fort has been inscribed have inscriptions only in Telugu, Hindi and English languages which exposes the language bias and anti-Urdu attitude of officials of department of archaeology, even though Hyderabad is considered to be the Urdu capital of the country. Government has given it the status of second official language. Urdu language is widely spoken and understood in Hyderabad. Maximum numbers of Urdu newspapers and magazines are published from Hyderabad. But it is nothing but the language bias and anti-Urdu attitude of the concerned officials that they inscribed the history of Golconda Fort only in Telugu, Hindi and English. Linguistic Commission and government should take strong note of this prejudice and install tablets in Urdu language too.
