Anti-Terrorism day observed at TS Police HQ

Hyderabad: Telangana Police on Saturday observed Anti Terrorism Day with a solemn pledge to up hold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values.

Additional Director General of Police (Coordination) M. Gopi Krishna administered the pledge with the DGP office staff members today in the conference Hall of DGP Office. He also exhorted the policemen to follow and abide their faith in our country’s long standing tradition of non-violence and espouse intolerance against terrorism and violence.

Anti-terrorism Day is observed throughout the nation on May 21 every year to commemorate the death anniversary of the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.The objective behind the observance of Anti-Terrorism Day is to wean away the people from terrorism and violence and to spread awareness on dangers of terrorism, hatred and violence and to promote peaceful co existence among all sections of society in the country.

Senior IPS officers Sandeep Shandilya, K. Srinivas Reddy, M.K. Singh, Sanjay Kumar Jain and others participated in the Pledge taking and Anti Terrorism Day activities. (INN)
