New Delhi: A Delhi Court on Friday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct further investigation in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler, who have been give a clean chit by the investigating agency.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S.P.S. Laler said there were some aspects that were required to be probed further.
Referring to a judgement of a superior court, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate said, “As closure reports have been filed in the case several times, so it would be in the interest of justice if the investigation is monitored by the court on bi-monthly basis so that no aspect of the case is left uninvestigated.
He said with these directions, the CBI is directed to conduct further investigation in the present case, which was listed for further proceedings on February 2. (ANI)
