Anti-ragging meet at Vijayawada on Sept. 30

An Anti-ragging conference would be organized on September 30 at Vijayawada by Telugu Nadu Students’ Federation (TNSF).

Posters against ragging were released at NTR trust bhavan here. The poster release function was attended by Nara Lokesh, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, TNSF in-charge Madanmohan Rao, TNSF State president Brahmamchari and others. The TNSF wanted to create awareness among the youth about this social evil.

Speaking on the occasion, TNSF in-charge Madanmohan Rao said Anti-ragging campaign would be launched across the State. The Chandrababu Naidu government had initiated strict steps to crush this social evil “ragging”.  While Anti-ragging law was most effective from 1997 to 2004, the evil reared its ugly head during late YSR regime, TDP leader Somireddy alleged.
