Ansari condemns attack on African students

Vice President M. Hamid Ansari on Monday strongly condemned the attack on African students in New Delhi. Talking to reporters on board to Rabat, Vice President Ansari, who left for a five-day state visit to African nations of Morocco and Tunisia, said India greatly value its relationship with Africa.

The Vice President said, “There are no two views about it; attack on anybody, whether it is on our own citizen or other country’s citizen, it is condemnable.”

He said, “The Government of India’s views are very clear that they are guest in our country and we have to look after them.”

“If they are victims of law and order problem, it is the duty of the government to provide them safety,” he said.
