If cooperation is not extended to police, should we be ready to go to prison or get admitted in the hospital for the treatment.
Another tale of police atrocities came to limelight yesterday but higher officials of police do not considering as police harassment. A 17 year boy is getting treatment in the hospital. The police officials say that it is a pretension.
According to the reports Syed Sameer resident of Aman Nagar B in Tallab Katta area was beaten up the police and he was taken into police custody late at night at 2 am. It may be recollected that there was a conflict on Sunday night in Bhavaninagar area in which Rashed, Hasan and others were involved. Police was trying to arrest Rashed who was absconding. In order to know his whereabouts, police arrested Syed Sameer. His father Syed Saleem alleged that his son Sameer was attending a marriage function in Aslam Function Hall and he was with him till 12 midnight but the police says that he was with the accused persons between 9:30 and 10:00 pm.
Syed Saleem alleged that police Inspector of Bhavaninagar came to his house on a motorcycle along with a rowdy sheeter Aqeel took his son Sameer. Police left his son in such a condition that he was not able to walk properly. Now Sameer is in hospital. He told that police misbehaved him and he was taken to the office of ACP Santoshnagar.
Later he was taken a lonely place in Shaheen Nagar area and he was tortured using 3rd degree method. Syed Saleem does Lassi Business in Syed Ali Chabutra along with his son. Sameer was first taken to ACP office then Chandrayangutta and Shaheen Nagar areas and beaten up by the police severely. According to the Sameer four policemen use to stand on his legs and they used to slap on his face to elicit the information about Rashed. Some times they also use to pour hot water on his legs. He was also beaten up with sticks and rubber tyres. After beating him police left him and threaten that if these details are given to media he will again implicated under arms act.
The Sub Inspector of Police told Saleem to end up this matter because Circle Inspector also realizes that it was a mistake and he offered that his son’s treatment will be done in a corporate hospital. When DCP South Zone Dr. Tarun Joshi was contacted, he told that all these allegations are baseless and Sameer was extending his help on the night when the fight took place and Sameer also gave shelter to the accused persons.
Police had taken him into custody for interrogation which is a routine matter. He dismissed the allegations of beating Sameer and told that police is functioning well.
It may not be out of place to mention that higher officials of the police are conducting moral classes but they are telling the people to be soft on such occasions.
