MUMBAI: After Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat, its now ‘Loveratri’ that lands in trouble as Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Tuesday declared that it won’t allow theatrical screening of Salman Khan’s production since the title of the film distorts the meaning of Navratri, the nine-night Hindu festival.
Alok Kumar, VHP’s international working president, said, “We will not allow its exhibition in cinema halls in the country. We don’t want the sentiments of Hindus to be hurt, The film is set against the backdrop of Navratri, a Hindu festival, and the name distorts its meaning,” reported India.Com
Salman Khan is going to launch his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma opposite next gen star Warina Hussain in the romantic drama. Helmed by debutant director Abhiraj Minawala, Loveratri is all set to hit theatres on October 5, 2018.
