Another temple burgled

Another temple theft was reported from Maharashtra today though the amount stolen was meagre.

Around Rs 2,500 was stolen from the cash box at Radhakrishna Temple at Nalla Sopara town near here, police
said.

The police have launched a manhunt for the thieves who entered the temple by breaking the grille, they said, adding the theft took place between 9.30 last night and 6 am today.

Burglars made away with a 1.5kg golden idol of Lord Ganesh from a centuries-old temple in Divegar village of
adjoining Raigad district late last month. They also killed a security guard.
