Mumbai, January 12: A 17-year-old student allegedly ended life at her residence in suburban Kandivali, police said today, the latest in the series of suicides committed by students in Maharashtra.
Shivani Singh, hanged herself last night when she was alone in her house.
The reason for the suicide was yet to be ascertained, police said adding, no note was found.
Singh was a 12th standard student of SNDT College.
With this, the number of students who have committed suicide in the city and other parts of Maharashtra during the last two weeks has gone up to 15, police said.
